We partner with prominent tech companies including Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). Together we strive to ensure people with Oticon hearing aids can be digitally active and effortlessly connect with what matters most via any current or future device.
Oticon Intent™ hearing aids feature Bluetooth LE Audio for a better all-round experience than classic Bluetooth. This includes two-way audio for hands-free calls on compatible Android ™ devices1 and Windows PCs, great audio quality, and increased power efficiency when streaming compared to classic Bluetooth.
Bluetooth LE Audio makes your clients ready for the future, when Auracast* technology will enable them to tap into audio from broadcasts in public places.
The Easy LE Adapter** ensures that clients with USB-C enabled Android™ devices and PCs that don’t support LE Audio can still enjoy direct streaming and two-way audio for hands-free calls.
With Google Fast Pair, connecting Oticon Intent hearing aids* to Bluetooth LE Audio devices is fast and easier than ever. Users simply tap to pair. Once connected, their devices stay synced across their Google account, making reconnection effortless and enabling a smooth, user-friendly experience every time.
All Oticon hearing aids with 2.4 gHz are certified as Made for iPhone. This allows users to listen to audio and make bi-directional audio and video calls on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Vision Pro via Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
All Oticon hearing aids with 2.4 GHz are compatible with the Android Protocol for Audio Streaming (ASHA), allowing users to stream audio and make audio and video calls directly from selected Android devices. Users with phones that are not ASHA compatible can enjoy direct streaming and hands-free communication on their phone by using a ConnectClip.
With Oticon Intent™ hearing aids, clients can use select Windows PCs with Bluetooth LE Audio technology to enjoy listening to music, podcasts and audiobooks, and make calls or participate in video meetings.
- PCs without Bluetooth LE Audio can use the Easy LE Adapter to enjoy the same functionality
- Other Oticon hearing aids with 2.4 GHz can use a ConnectClip to enable the same functionality
Your clients can stream audio from their compatible favourite devices directly into Oticon hearing aids for entertainment on the go.
Your clients can send TV sound to Oticon hearing aids and set an individual volume level that no one else can hear, using the Oticon TV Adapter.
Let your clients participate professionally when connecting with colleagues in online video calls.
Your clients can walk and talk with their loved ones – wherever they are in the world – using their hearing aids as a Bluetooth headset. Hands-free connectivity lets them simply press one button on their hearing aid to answer or reject incoming calls or choose someone to call on their phone and then put it away.
1. Most phones and tablets with a 3.5 mm audio jack will not work with the Easy LE Adapter, as manufacturers often choose to route the audio through the audiojack rather than the USB-C
* Available on compatible Oticon hearing aids. Requires an update to firmware 1.3.0 on Oticon Intent miniRITE.
** Before using the Oticon Companion app on an Apple Watch, users need to install the app on an iPhone and ensure the hearing aids are paired with the iPhone.
***Tap control is only available with the latest Oticon hearing aids paired with smart devices that support hands-free communication/two-way audio.
