At Oticon, keeping abreast of the latest information within our research areas is crucial, and several of our employee’s function as university censors. This provides us with a unique opportunity to be in close contact with instructors, students, and the research community. We also work together on a regular basis on various Bachelor, Master, and PhD projects. Our project students are a natural and enriching part of our product development and of our organization. Therefore, we are always open to have a dialogue with students who are interested in collaborating with us – either within posted, defined projects or in entirely new areas.

Grant through the William Demant Foundation

Should you require financial support for an exchange semester, traineeship, or your thesis project, the William Demant Foundation may be able to help. In order to apply to the foundation, you must hold a bachelor degree with a grade of at least 8 (13-scale) or 7 (12-scale). Applications to the Foundation must be received no later than one month prior to the commencement of the planned study period abroad.

The William Demant Foundation also supports the participation in conferences held throughout the world. In order to apply for this, you must be an active participant in the conference – by holding a lecture, presenting, or a similar activity.

Regarding research projects, the Foundation primarily supports projects within audiological or related professional areas – preferably with significant relevance for the Danish society and/or Danish industry. Since 1999, the William Demant Foundation has annually awarded two PhD grants of DKK 1.5 million per person to highly qualified students at Danish universities. The Foundation also annually awards 20 grants totalling DKK 2 million for students pursuing post-graduate studies in natural and engineering sciences at Danish universities.
